Ponderosa State Park – The beautiful Ponderosa State Park is located just northwest of McCall and provides a secluded beach front area – perfect for family picnics. The park resides on a peninsula that appears in the lake. The park is also surrounded by giant ponderosa pines that provide vast experiences with nature.
Payette National Forest – This nearby national forest provides millions of acres of forest land that encompasses hundreds of lakes – all within just a few miles of McCall. You’ll see bear, moose, deer, goats, and elk in the various forests and grassy valleys.
Fire Warden’s House – Built in the late 1930′s by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), this building houses an interior surface made of many varieties of wood from around the area. It is a tribute to the timber industry of the area as well as the craftsmanship of those that work with it. Much of the furniture and fixtures or original.
Brundage Mountain Resort – During the winter, this fine winter sport resort is located on the 7600 foot Brundage mountain. The resort hosts downhill & cross-country skiing. The mountain view allows for a panoramic view of majestic mountain ranges in the north western portion of Idaho as well as the Wallowa Mountain range in Oregon.
