Oxford Village is about the size of one square mile and is located within the township of Oxford. It is easy to get to through Flint, Michigan or through Port Huron, Michigan. Although the village maintains a small town look and feel you and your family can still have access to modern conveniences. The downtown has an array of unique storefronts which include restaurants, shops, movie theaters, and other business services.
The village of Oxford is a choice destination especially during some of their many excellent events will that they host. During the month of February they host a festival called the stew stroll. Here, visitors can feast themselves on a variety of Irish stews from the various restaurants in town. There are other activities for kids which include treasure hunting, face painting, games, etc.
August is the month for the “Celebrate Oxford” event. This event offers a wide variety of entertainment for the entire family. Don’t miss the classic car show, the live entertainment, crafts, antiques, and even a kids town. The day will be full of games and raffles. The whole family can enjoy this activity.
After summer has come to a close, fall sets in with the “Scarecrow Festival”. We guarantee you will have never witnessed the number of sightings of scarecrows as you will at this event.
