Paper Battleship Game

Battleship

Most of us remember Battleship as a game that was played with two plastic boards that let you plug in ships and pegs for game play. The first versions of Battleship, however, started out as a paper and pencil game. Some names given to the game include Salvo or Broadsides.

It was 1967 when Milton Bradley issued their version of the game of Battleship. Rather than relying on pencil and paper, the box included two plastic trays, pegs, and plastic ships, and printed instructions. Ships were depicted by plastic ship models that would plug into the board. Hits and misses were indicated by red and white pegs respectively.

We have created a printable Battleship Game Sheet. For the most part, the paper game is identical to the popular Milton Bradley version and can easily be printed out and used during a road trip for hours of fun!
