What If?

qmark

This is a fun get-to-know-you-better activity that the whole family can play during a road trip. There are no supplies necessary for this activity. All you have to do is come up with some creative questions for the trip. This does not have to happen before the road trip, but can take place during the trip, or even during the activity.

Simply come up with a “What if” scenario and have everyone in the car answer the question as it applies to them.

Here are a few “What If” questions to get you started:

  • What if you could have a wild animal for a pet, what would you choose and why?
  • What if you were given 5 minutes choose three free items at a department store, what would you choose and why?
  • What if you had a million dollars. How would you spend it?
  • What if you were the President of the United States for one day, what would you do?
  • What if you were told that you could go to any college of your choice for free, where would you go and why?
  • What if you had a genie that granted one wish, what would you wish for and why?
  • What if you had a chance to travel back in time one time and then travel back, what time would you travel back to?
  • What if you were given a free airplane ticket to anywhere in the world, where would you go?
  • What if you were stranded on a deserted island, what is the one possession you would want the most.

Variations to the activity

  • Have a different question for everyone, rather than having everyone answer the same question.
  • Have people answer the question as if they were someone else (either in the car, or someone everyone knows.
