Math Teaser – Labeled Cans

Aliece is packing up a bunch of cans for the family camping trip. When she comes to the last few cans in the pantry, she notices that the labels have fallen off of four of the cans in the pantry. The four labels are all different.

If Aliece were to glue the labels on to the cans at random, what is the probability that she will put the correct labels on only three of the four cans?

ANSWER:

There is zero possibility.  If three of the cans have the correct label, then the fourth one will also.
