A Washington DC Visit

Aliece, Ava, Miles, and Levi are traveling with their grandparents to do a tour of Washington, DC. They are each going on different months in the same year. Each one is staying in a hotel in different cities. In order to prepare for the trip each one has to write a report on a different memorial or location near Washington, DC. For each child, determine their month of travel, the city they are staying in, and what monument they will be writing about.

Use the following clues to solve the Logic Puzzle:

  • The child writing a report on the Washington Monument is not Ava or Levi.
  • Neither Ava nor Aliece are staying in Bethesda.
  • The child traveling in August is doing their report on the Washington Monument.
  • The child traveling in June is Miles.
  • Neither Miles nor Aliece are doing their reports on Arlington National Cemetery.
  • The person staying in Alexandria is leaving for their trip later than Miles.
  • Either the person staying in Bethesda or Alexandria is Levi.
  • The person staying in Washington, D.C. is not Aliece and isn’t writing about Arlington National Cemetery.
  • The person writing about Alrington National Cemetery is leaving on their trip earlier in the year than the person that is writing about the Lincoln Memorial.
  • Of the person staying in Alexandria and Aliece, one is leaving on their trip in July and the other is writing about the Washington Monument.
  • Ava is not writing a report about the Jefferson Memorial.
  • Miles is not staying in Cheverly.
